Free and Reduced Lunch
You only need to submit one application per household, even if your children attend more than one school in Asheville City Schools.
In order to qualify for Title 1 funding, we must have at least 40% of our school population participating in the Free/Reduced Lunch Program. Completing the Lunch Application can benefit our Title 1 status, regardless of whether or not families join the Free/Reduced Lunch Program after qualifying, and additionally impacts the ability for teachers to receive money towards paying off student loans!
